Eliana, meet Timber.
Timber, meet Eliana.
This was our first encounter with one of our cats where Eliana acted completely fascinated by them. She grabbed hold as hard as she could and Timber just sat on my lap completely content.
I think they’re going to be buddies.
In other news, last night was easy as Eliana passed out before we could even do our normal routine. She was exhausted.

Little girl! You’re 4 months!! My precious little Stinky Stinker, Grumpy Gumpers, you’re 4 months!
You’re 13lbs even, 24.75 inches in height and your noggin is 41cm.
So much has happened this past month. Your sleeping habits have changed drastically. We’re not getting the glorious 6-8 hr stretches these days. I still believe it’s a mixture of a lot of...
Monumental-- there was sleep.
I’m not sure if I was just motivated after going to the gym last night, but come hell or high water, I was going to get Eliana to sleep in her crib…
John was by my side and I swear I could not have done this without him. He played the bad guy, while I sat in utter distress.
We started off a bit late unfortunately, but we took her upstairs, unsuccessfully read a book (she just...

Making things happen.
I’m literally miserable in my own skin.
While I understand what my body just experienced with this pregnancy is amazing, being out of shape really has taken a toll on just about everything in my life. I am a huge believer that if you are not moving, then your mind is hurting. I’m all over the place mentally, and do believe I have a dab of PPD.
So it’s time to start moving.

Tonight we’re having Apple Pie, Blueberry Pie, Blueberry and Rasberry Pie, and Chocolate with mile high meringue.
I know you can’t appreciate it at this age, but one day you’re going to get to try one of the greatest pies in all of North Carolina— I say anywhere— but your Papa makes Blue Ribbon North Carolina State Fair pies.
We even have the ribbon to prove it.

I have seriously learned so much from all of the comments you have made in regards to Eliana’s sleeping arrangements/habits. Who needs to do research anyways when you have a team of the best mommy’s around willing to give you advice from experience?
First things first, I *think* I know a little bit more about what I’m doing then I give myself credit for. I’m a first time...
Sleeping Crossroads.
(Warning, this post is all over the place. It’s a reflection of my thought process these day. My apologies in advance.)
The time has come and I need to make some changes— the problem is, I don’t want to.
We have the perfect setup. Our bedroom is downstairs and Eliana’s nursery is upstairs and down the hall. Saying it’s an inconvenience to put her in her nursery...
Happy Friday Friends!
I’m spending my morning working next to E in her Bumbo. We took a short break to do a little photo shoot and I’ve realized something pretty important…
YOU HAVE HUGE FEET!
Now back to work….

Sometimes I feel sorry for you because I know both your father and I are going to embarrass you for the rest of your life.
I can already see it now.
You walking up to your middle school for the first time and me honking my horn as loud as I can to tell you that I love you…
You rolling your eyes, and telling me to leave…
Me continuing to honk the horn…
You yelling for me...
Sometimes when you stare into my eyes, I feel like I’m staring at someone who is wise beyond their years— an old soul if you will.
There’s something magical about the way you look at me. Maybe it’s because I am your mother. But there’s something extra special about you, that goes beyond being my child.
I cannot wait to see the person that you will become. I have a...
Design Giveaway- KM Thomas Designs
I know right? I’m dying over these announcements too! Crazy thing is this picture was taken at 2 weeks old, and she looks NOTHING like this anymore. (single tear)
Oh Happy Miracle (ok ok, me) is happy to announce our new sponsor Krysta over at KM Thomas Designs! I immediately fell in love with Krysta’s designs and after contacting her, I found out that we have something in...

Plantar Fasciitis
Sorry for the delay about my feet.
I found out Friday that I have Plantar Fasciitis (now say that 5 times real fast). It’s an inflammation of the thick tissue on the bottom of the foot.
Apparently this is very common with pregnant women, as it can derive from sudden weight gain. I’ve also heard there’s something mixed in with your hormones, but I haven’t had much time...
Dreaded 4 Month Sleep Regression.
The things I learn via twitter are priceless.
I’ve never been much of a reader and now that E is here, reading anything longer than a paragraph is exhausting these days— so I had no idea about the whole 4 month sleep regression phase for babies!! Luckily, after a couple of tweets that Eliana is no longer my Sleeping Beauty, a few of you mentioned the good ‘ol
“Dreaded 4...
The drooling begins.
It seems like every picture we take these days consists of a tear drop of drool falling from Eliana’s mouth.
Bibs are her new accessory, along with a clump of my hair— she likes to get it all slobbery so it looks like I dipped it in oil.

Arthritis? Hormones?
As my dad would say, “First one thing, then another.”
It wasn’t until this morning that I realized that the pain in my feet could have something to do with having a baby.
For the past few weeks I have had a constant pain in my feet— almost like my heels are bruised. I’ve also had this weird shooting pain in my big toe. Originally I thought it was due to a pair of...
